Today my oldest Son had school and so when my 9 month old took his nap it left just me and Branson (age 3). I have this old candle set that has been showing it's age and not "nice enough" to display but not broken enough to toss away.
From a photo found on Pinterest, I got an idea of how to "transform" them... Fortunately I also came up with a great way for Branson to help! We went for a walk in the woods behind the house and he picked out ALL of the twigs we would need. He was so proud and excited to be helping me with the "special project".
Next he passed each of the twigs to me and we broke them to the size that was needed for each candle. Then I placed a drop of glue with the gluegun on the candle and he pushed the twig in place. :) It was awesome having the time to teach and to chat! I then tied some rope around the whole candle for the final touch and Tada!!
Here is the first Candle finished...
I must admit at this point he heard the lawnmower tractor outside and was distracted.... He joined his Daddy on the tractor and I finished the project alone.
All 3 Candles Finished...
Here it is in it's home :)
It was an awesome time spent with my little guy and I am relieved to have the project complete! :)
I LOVE IT! Great job on the candles AND starting a blog!!
